Tokyo, June 11, 2025 ¨C ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ announced that Shigeki Tanaka, former Representative Director and Deputy President of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SMTB), will join ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ on July 1 as Vice Chairman of both ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Securities Japan Co., Ltd. (ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵSJ) and ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ SuMi TRUST Wealth Management Co., Ltd (ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ SuMi).

Prior to joining ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, Tanaka was the lead SMTB group negotiator on a number of international and domestic alliances, including ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ¡¯s and SMTG¡¯s agreement to jointly launch ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ SuMi in 2021. He also led Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Group¡¯s (SMTG) core corporate and real estate businesses.
