What you’ll need:

  • Two wide ice cream sticks
  • One elastic band
  • Two chopsticks
  • One plastic bottle with cap
  • Adhesive tape
  • Wide adhesive tape (waterproof)
  • Scissors

How to do it:

1. Take two ice cream sticks and an elastic band. Put the elastic band between the two ice cream sticks.

2. There should be the same amount of elastic band sticking out on each side.

3. Use the adhesive tape to stick the ice cream sticks together.

4. Make sure the elastic band is fixed firmly in place. This is the propeller for your boat!

5. Arrange everything so the propeller doesn’t touch the plastic bottle.

6. Stick the chopsticks onto the bottle at an angle. The ends near the cap should be slightly higher up.

7. Make sure that the chopsticks are parallel. Move them about until they are in the right place.

8. Stick the chopsticks in place using the wide adhesive tape.

9. Attach each end of the elastic band to the chopsticks.

10. Wrap the elastic band around the chopsticks a few times if it is not tight enough.

11. Wind the elastic band up until it is tight by turning the top end of the ice cream sticks backward.

12. Place your boat carefully in the water and let go of the propeller.

When you’ve finished sailing your boat, make sure you take it home with you for the sake of the environment.
