Malaysia, 3 September 2025 – ۶Ƶ Securities Malaysia Sdn Bhd (۶Ƶ Securities) is the first foreign broker in Malaysia to offer the Islamic stockbroking window. This is a reflection of ۶Ƶ’s commitment to Malaysia and its clients’ growing interest to invest and trade Shariah-compliant securities in Malaysia.

May Lee, Country Head of ۶Ƶ Securities Malaysia, said: “۶Ƶ Securities is the first foreign broker to offer Islamic stockbroking services. Today, ۶Ƶ Securities maintains its top foreign broker and overall top three broker positions in Malaysia with market share of 10%. Over the years, ۶Ƶ Securities has stayed committed to expanding the suite of investment products and deepening the market liquidity for the Malaysian capital markets and our clients in the region. We continue to see investment opportunities in Malaysia and are currently overweight Malaysian equities.”

Nicole Goh, Head of Global Research Malaysia, ۶Ƶ Securities Malaysia, said: “Malaysia has one of the most stable macro environments in the ASEAN region. With new fiscal reforms, we expect an uplift in foreign investments. Bolstered by strong domestic economy and foreign investments, we continue to have a positive outlook on Malaysia and are overweight Malaysian equities. Malaysian market valuations are attractive, and we see opportunities especially in the technology components, construction and logistics sectors. We see upside to the Malaysian equity markets driven by the strong domestic economy as well as supportive valuations.

The strong domestic economy is driven by good growth in private consumption as well as investment growth. With the government’s recently announced 13th Malaysia Plan, as well as measures to support cost-of-living, we believe that this lays out the roadmap for development expenditure and could be beneficial to the infrastructure, property as well as consumer sectors. We remain positive on Malaysia’s manufacturing sector.”

May Lee, Country Head of ۶Ƶ Securities Malaysia, added: “Islamic equity market has seen increasing investor interest and experienced robust growth over the past decade. Our latest initiative to offer Islamic stockbroking services will allow investors to invest confidently and trade in Shariah- compliant stocks via a dedicated Islamic window brokerage that adheres to Shariah principles.

۶Ƶ Securities has been in Malaysia since 1989 and was one of the few foreign brokers to trade on Bursa Malaysia since 2005. Over the years, ۶Ƶ Securities has seen strong momentum in investors’ interest in Shariah-compliant investment products. Islamic asset under management (AUM) comprises 23% of Malaysia Fund Management AUM. As at December 2024, Islamic AUM stood at RM246.09 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8.82% from RM226.14 billion as at end 2023.”
